SKULLS
Many of our skulls are carefully sourced or found during long country walks. We live on a large farm surrounded by the North Gloucestershire countryside, and have found many of the skulls pictured below in woodlands and scrubland nearby.

The skulls range from small bird, mice or rabbit skulls, to larger ones like Elk, Sheep or Cow. All the skulls are ethically sourced, with connections with local farmers and shoots.
We truly believe in letting these animals beauty live on through the creations they become- allowing them to continue their worldly reign.

Below are some examples of how the skulls are adorned, along with their different mounting and display options.

Many different techniques can be used depending on your end specification, from oil dipping to collage, to the artwork being solely in the mounting options rather than the painting/adorning the skull. A variety of different materials can be used, including real pheasant/duck/partridge feathers and real taxidermy insects.

Other Artwork
Alongside skull embellishment, we also create artwork inspired by nature including taxidermy butterfly artworks, block printing and lino printing and other style of art as shown. If you are interested in Zoe's style of artworks, please contact us for more information.
